| Four-year starter at linebacker * Ranked No. 22 in the Orlando Sentinel's Top 100 players in Florida * Named first-team 5-A all-state at linebacker * Also ranked among the top 75 players in Florida by SuperPrep * Began his high school career as a defensive tackle, but moved to running back and linebacker as a junior * Rushed for 1,400 yards and was the team's Most Valuable Player as a senior when Wharton was 13-2 and played in the 5-A state championship game * Scored 27 touchdowns as a senior, including 12 rushing and 15 receiving * Posted 18 tackles for losses, nine sacks and forced three fumbles at linebacker * Named the league's MVP as a running back his junior season * Coached by Richard Wood, a 10-year NFL veteran * Born November 4, 1984 * Son of Mary Grant. |
