| Tallied 22.7 points and 13 rebounds a game as a senior at Riverdale High School. Only player in school history to have his jersey retired. Set nine school records including career scoring and career rebounding. Also set school record for most points in a game (40) and most rebounds in a game (18). Shot 63 percent from the floor during his prep career, and registered a school record 67 dunks as a senior.
Named Metro Atlanta Player of the Year by the Atlanta Tipoff Club following his senior campaign. Earned Class 5-A first-team honors as both a junior and senior.
Averaged 25 points and 13 rebounds as a junior
Attended the 2000 Nike All-American camp. Played in the 2001 Tipoff Club's Dandy Dozen, the 12 best prep players in Georgia. Also played in the Charm City Classic in Baltimore, Md., following his senior campaign. Competed in the North-South All-Star game.
Graduated with a 3.5 grade-point average, and was involved with the Beta Club
Had a national ranking of No. 46 by the Sporting News. Was No. 51 by ESPN.com, along with being the No. 10 power forward. Also rated No. 70 according to PrepStars.com. Rated as No. 14 recruit entering the ACC by the ACC Area Sports Journal. |
