| Nathan Franklin will likely be one of North Carolina's top kickers in 2005. He connected on 7 of 10 field goals with a long of 47 yards as a junior (8-5 record). Franklin averaged 39 yards per punt and 90% of his kickoffs were touchbacks; Bench: 210/Squat: 345/Power Clean: 190/Vert Jump: 26"
Franklin reports a 3.2 GPA/1680 SAT (new version).
Franklin: "I like the pressure. It gets me excited during games when the pressure is on, but I don't let it get to me and I try to stay calm with a real laid-back approach. I've got some good aggressiveness when I kick and my accuracy has gotten a lot better. I can still kick the ball pretty far as well.
"I want to work on putting on some weight and getting a little bigger. I also want to work on being more accurate and get my punt average up to a 45 yard average."
