| 5-10, 180-pound Curtis Brinkley of Philadelphia (PA) West Catholic rushed 324 times for 2813 yards (8.7 yards per carry) and 29 touchdowns for the Burrs, who finished with a 9-4 record, a regular season title and a spot in league championship game last season. Brinkley has 5,119 yards for his career and is expected to break the Philadelphia city record of 6,122. He was named MVP in voting by the Catholic League football coaches.
