Vitals: 6'2/215 LaGrange (NC) North Lenoir athlete Maurice Morgan committed to NC State on Tuesday after securing an offer from the Wolfpack over the weekend. He chose NC State over an offer from East Carolina and was receiving interest from North Carolina.

Morgan had a solid junior season playing tailback, wide receiver, safety and special teams for North Lenior. He rushed for nearly 700 yards in limited reps, but athletically he projects as a wide receiver or safety on the next level. NC State is recruiting Morgan as an athlete."He's an outstanding athlete," said North Lenoir Head Coach Calvin Sutton. "I've been told he could be the sleeper in the state. We're talking about a young man who is 6-foot-2, 213 pounds and consistently runs a 4.4.

"He has all the physical tools you're looking for, and he is also a great kid."
