, University Heights (OH) Cleveland Heights wide receiver Bryan Underwood
, and Georgia Military (GA) athlete Tobais Palmer
have officially enrolled at NC State. The trio are listed in NC State's online directory and are currently in Raleigh.
Chandler, a 6-foot-6, 340-pounder from North Plainfield, New Jersey, started at defensive tackle last season for Fork Union Military Academy but is slated to play offensive line for the Wolfpack. Originally a member of NC State's 2009 recruiting class, Chandler prepped at Fork Union after failing to qualify academically. He is enrolled at NC State as a true freshman.
Palmer, who played his high school ball at Pittsboro (NC) Northwood High, spent two seasons at Georgia Military College after originally signing with NC State in 2008. Palmer had 91 carries for 662 yards and 10 touchdowns during his sophomore year and also caught 10 passes for 103 yards and a score. Capable of playing tailback, wide receiver or cornerback, Palmer is expected to contribute right away, particularly in the return game. The 5-foot-11, 175-pounder is enrolled as a junior and has three years remaining to play two seasons.
Like Chandler, Bryan Underwood was also a member of the 2009 recruiting class but failed to qualify academically. He didn't play football in 2009 while squaring away his academics. Underwood caught 56 balls for 729 yards and 11 touchdowns his last two seasons at University Heights (OH) Cleveland Heights High School. The 5-foot-11, 170-pounder also has a chance to contribute on special teams and is enrolled as a true freshman.
NC State had four other signees, Mikel Overgaard, David Akinniyi, A.J. Ferguson, and Deion Roberson, enroll in January.
NC State's first summer session began this week and a trio of football recruits are now officially enrolled.
