A source close to the situation has informed Pack Pride sophomore guard Julius Mays will transfer from NC State at the end of the school semester.

A source close to the situation has informed Pack Pride sophomore guard Julius Mays will transfer from NC State at the end of the school semester. A family member confirmed that Mays would be leaving NC State, but has yet to decide on a destination.

"He's transferring," said Mays' grandfather. "I don't know where he's going yet. He told us we would talk about all of that when he got home from North Carolina."

Mays averaged 4.6 points and 1.6 assists during the 2009-2010 season. He played 18.5 minutes per game while shooting 30.6% from the field and 29.6% from behind the 3-point line.

A native of Marion, Indiana, his transfer destination is unknown at this point. Mays still has three years remaining to play two seasons.
