According to several reports, former NC State tailback Andre Brown ruptured his left Achilles tendon today during practice and will miss all of the 2009 season.

The Giants suffered their first significant injury of training camp this evening when rookie running back Andre Brown ruptured his left Achilles tendon. Brown will undergo surgery on Tuesday and miss the entire 2009 season.

The fourth-round draft choice was hurt running a pass pattern down the right side of the field near the end of the two-hour workout. Brown jumped to catch a pass thrown by Andre Woodson but crumpled to the ground and instantly grabbed his left leg. Brown appeared to suffer the injury as he went up for the ball.
