On today's segment of "Pack Pride Radio," hosts Dave Nathan and James Henderson talk with recent NC State verbal Pete Singer. The Chapel Hill (NC) defensive back committed to NC State last week.
Singer has been a utility player of sorts for Chapel Hill, helping in a number of different ways. Lining up at safety, receiver, punt returner, and kick returner, Singer made his biggest splash on defense in 2008, totaling 77 tackles and three interceptions. A two-year starter, Singer believes he's set to have a big senior season.
He also carries a 4.0 GPA in the classroom, and his ties to NC State played a role in his decision to commit to the Wolfpack. Several of his family members attended the ACC program and his parents are season-ticket holders. He is also intrigued by the Wolfpack's School of Design and has made several unofficial visits.
"I've always liked State," he said. "A lot of my family has attended NC State, and I've been there a few times for visits. I know their coaches well, and I really like the School of Design. I've been looking into it, and I like that program... it's strong. I'm looking to major in Architecture and they offer a strong program for that."
