Wolfpack quarterback Russell Wilson and offensive lineman Meares Green garnered ACC Player-of-the-Week honors for their performances in the 41-10 win over North Carolina.
Wilson was named co-Offensive Back of the Week (with Georgia Tech B-Back Jonathan Dwyer) after throwing for 279 yards and two touchdowns. The redshirt freshman also extended his string of pass attempts without an interception to 203, a school record and the longest active streak in the nation. He also rushed for another 50 yards and now leads the ACC in passing efficiency (132.0) and total offense (203.7 yards per game).
Green, a redshirt senior, paved the way for the Wolfpack offense to gain 466 total yards – the most yards for a Wolfpack squad under head coach Tom O’Brien. The Wolfpack line allowed only two sacks in the game.
