Tom O'Brien Audio

How is the scrimmage going to run?
It will be a game-situation scrimmage. It will be a building on last week's game scrimmage. We'll do more situational things afterwards.

Can you talk about the progress of the offensive line?
We haven't been real consistent. That's the biggest problem now. We've been rotating guys around... guard, center, tackle. Trying to find the right combination. Not as much as we did in the spring.

We've got to settle down more in that way. It's the same thing. We've got to try and find the best five guys and get them in the best spots as possible.

You move anyone back to safety after Clem Johnson's injury?
No.

Just sticking with what you've got?
That's all we've got.

Have you seen much out of the freshmen?
I think it's a good class. Really a lot of good football players. I think there are going to be... I don't know who's going to play one way or another. A couple of guys certainly are going to end up on the two-deep. That will be determined here in the next week.

What are your expectations of Meares Green and Julian Williams at tackle... if they end up being the starting tackles?
You expect them to be big league offensive linemen. That's what we want to do and that's what we want to be. We're trying to find the right guys. Julian is in his second year at left [tackle].

Meares is one of the guys we're moving around a little bit back and forth at guard and tackle. We're keeping him on the right side of the ball. He can play either of those positions and is pretty adept at both.

As I said, we're trying to figure out what the five is going to be and what the rotation is going to be from there. Hopefully we can get in a rotation this year that we weren't able to do last year.
