RALEIGH, N.C. -– NC State head coach Tom O'Brien met with the media following the Wolfpack's Sunday evening practice, its fourth practice of the season.

Tom O'Brien Audio

On the new timing rules
“I think anything that speeds the game up is good. I don't like the idea that we keep experimenting so hopefully we settle on something one way or another.”

On the importance of building a strong offensive line
“Everywhere I've been we've had strong offensive lines and we've had success so I would tend to lean that way. I think the same thing is true on the defensive side of the ball too. You have to be able to control the line of scrimmage whether its offense or defense, or you can't control the game.”

On the quarterback's play so far
“They are all competing, they are all working hard. They seem to be on top of what we are trying to do, which is good. It's now the fourth go around, they've made it through a spring, a season, a spring and back the fourth time so we're much more advanced at that position than we were from a knowledge standpoint. Getting everybody out of the huddle, getting everybody headed the right direction and knowing where the ball is supposed to go. Now its a matter of decision making and execution.”

On whether Daniel Evan's shoulder injury has effected his throwing
“I haven't noticed any difference at all.”
