Historically, we haven't looked at those things, but it's good fodder for the alumni to talk back and forth with other people and other schools, and it gives you a perception out there that rightly or wrongly you're doing a good or bad job."

N.C. State Thrilled with Football Recruiting Class

In his first full season of recruiting, Tom O’Brien inked 26 newcomers, half of them from the state of North Carolina.
“One thing that we set out to prioritize is that we wanted to recruit this state and recruit it hard,” O’Brien said. “As the chancellor said, we are the people’s university.”

N.C. State announced Wednesday that the school has signed 26 football players to letters of intent, including coveted quarterback Mike Glennon.
Coach Tom O'Brien signed half the class hails from the state of North Carolina, including three of the top five players in the state as ranked by Scout.com.
