Lucas: 'I Felt the Love'
"I just felt like NC State was there from the beginning," Sterling Lucas told Pack Pride. "They were on me hard even before the Shrine Bowl, and I felt the love there. They really wanted me... it wasn't fake with them. It was real." For much of the recruiting season, Sterling Lucas wasn't a name discussed by analysts or fans. Despite posting solid numbers at South Carolina's Shrine Bowl combine and totaling 161 tackles and five sacks as a senior, Lucas wasn't a known commodity.
