Web Run: Pack Players Have Quit

Posted Jan 16, 2008

I never thought I'd be writing this. I figured there was no way Sidney Lowe would allow his team to go to Clemson and put up a goose egg like they did tonight against the Tigers.

Postgame Interview: Sidney Lowe

"State Fan.....your team has quit on you. They have quit on their coach. They have quit on their university. They have simply quit on that celebrated uniform and you should be furious and saddened all at the same time. If you deny that, you are truly in denial." - 99.9's Dan Mason

I never thought I'd be writing this. I figured there was no way Sidney Lowe would allow his team to go to Clemson and put up a goose egg like they did tonight against the Tigers. In many ways, this effort is even worse than what I saw against Carolina. You know why? Because lots of teams can get rolled in Chapel Hill. More importantly, I can even forgive one really, really bad outing that lacked any of the emotion the Pack needed to stay competitive this past weekend. I'm good for a mulligan. Read More

Everyone interested in reading this already knows N.C. State got clobbered again Tuesday night, this time 70-54 at Clemson in a game that was more decisive than the final score indicates. And the thing is, it could have been worse, much worse. But Clemson came out too flat and didn't get much of a lift from the crowd. The Tigers got full houses against Charlotte and Florida State - its last two opponents - but Littlejohn Coliseum was nearly 1,000 under capacity for the Wolfpack. This just wasn't a must-see game, even though Clemson is in the midst of one of its best seasons in more than a decade. Read More
