No points, no win, no bowl for State

N.C. State's season ended Saturday much as it began, with a hugely disappointing loss at Carter-Finley Stadium. Needing a victory over Maryland to become bowl-eligible, the Wolfpack was pounded 37-0 by the Terrapins in a game that was never close, never competitive. Tom O'Brien's first season as the Pack's coach ended 5-7 overall and 3-5 in the ACC. While the Terps (6-6, 3-5) may be headed to the Humanitarian Bowl in Boise, Idaho, the Wolfpack must be content with a late-season four-game winning streak that included fan-pleasing victories over North Carolina and East Carolina.
