NC State Head Coach Sidney Lowe stated following the game that he is ready for the regular season to begin.
Lowe talks with star junior guard Gavin Grant.
Grant totaled 24 points, a game-high eight assists, and seven rebounds in the victory.
At 6-foot-7 he has the size to see over smaller guards.
Grant also recorded three blocks.
Sophomore guard Courtney Fells added 17 points on 7-of-9 shooting. Fells scored 15 points in the second half.
Freshman Brandon Costner grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds.
Sophomore center Ben McCauley added 18 points.
McCauley had four dunks against St. Augustine's.
Senior wing Bryan Nieman had another strong game, recording 11 points.
Freshman Dennis Horner chipped in four points and two rebounds.
Freshman Bartosz Lewandowski scored the final two points of the game. The 7-foot-3 center played for the first time this season.
