Hannah makes stop with club team

If he had stayed healthy and caught a few more passes last year, Jonathan Hannah still might be at South Carolina, playing in front of packed stadiums in the Southeastern Conference.
Instead, he plays tight end at Louisburg College before a few hundred fans at the Louisburg High School field, where the Hurricanes play their home games.
For Hannah, it's a one-year stop-over on the way to N.C. State, where he plans to enroll next summer with three years of eligibility remaining. Meanwhile, he'll have a chance to play in several games this fall, gain academic credits and sharpen his skills under coach Rick Mohlmann.

Wolfpack's O-line earns high praise

The 2002 N.C. State Wolfpack was an offensive machine.
The Wolfpack averaged nearly 33 points and passed the 50-point mark three times in former quarterback Philip Rivers' junior season.
The current edition isn't nearly as explosive and not likely to score seven or eight touchdowns in a game, but it's more potent than the last two seasons. The switch to Daniel Evans at quarterback is one reason, but credit also belongs to a vastly improved offensive line.
