Although schools can't officially extend scholarship offers to juniors until September 1st, it hasn't stopped them from recruiting junior sensation Carter Sharpe, a 5-foot-11, 210-pound tailback from Fayetteville (N.C.) E.E. Smith. "Mostly the big schools in North Carolina [are recruiting me] – UNC, N.C. State, and Florida," said Sharpe. "They are just sending me information and stuff."

Additionally, Wake Forest extended Sharpe a special invitation to check out their Winston-Salem campus. He gladly accepted making the unofficial visit his only campus stop.

Sharpe admits its way too early for favorites, but revealed five schools that have caught his eye.

"Florida State, South Carolina, Miami, N.C. State, and UNC," said Sharpe. "All those schools run the ball a lot."

A self-proclaimed "power back," Sharpe busted onto the scene last season with 2,823 yards and 35 touchdowns on the ground. He was named to the All-Region team, and gained recognition as one of the premiere tailbacks in North Carolina.

In Friday night's season opener, the junior rushed for 215 yards and three touchdowns on 27 carries as the Golden Bulls beat Hoke County 34-7.
