The Denver Nuggets have signed G/F Julius Hodge and F Linas Kleiza to multi-year contracts, team General Manager Kiki Vandeweghe announced today. Per team policy, terms of the deals were not released.
Hodge, 6-7, 210, was selected by the Nuggets in the first round of last week’s NBA Draft with the 20th overall pick. He averaged 17.0 ppg, 6.6 rpg and 4.8 apg as a senior at North Carolina State last season and was named ACC Player of the Year as a junior.
Kleiza
Kleiza, 6-8, 245, was selected with the 27th overall pick by the Portland Trail Blazers. His draft rights were acquired by the Nuggets, along with the draft rights to Ricky Sanchez (35th overall) in exchange for the draft rights to Jarrett Jack, the 22nd overall selection. Kleiza averaged 16.1 ppg and 7.6 rpg as a sophomore at Missouri last year.
Both Hodge and Kleiza will play with the Nuggets in the Reebok Vegas Summer League, July 6-15.
