NC State will kickoff the 2005 football season on national television as the opener against Virginia Tech has been moved to Sunday, September 4th.
The game was originally slated to be played Saturday, September 3rd, but the ACC, NC State, and Virginia Tech have agreed to move the matchup to Sunday. The battle between the Wolfpack and the defending ACC champions will be nationally televised on ESPN2 and kickoff is set for 7:15 pm.
The Wolfpack was the only conference team to defeat the Hokies last season, as they won 17-16 in Blacksburg, Virginia.
The rest of NC State's 2005 schedule includes a non-conference slate that features home games against Eastern Kentucky (9/17) and Southern Mississippi (10/29). The Pack will also travel to Philadelphia for a September 10th meeting with Temple.
On Thursday October 6, NC State will be in Atlanta for a nationally televised (ESPN) battle with Georgia Tech. The very next Thursday, the Wolfpack will be back on ESPN, this time at home versus Clemson.
