    Along with all the controversy over Chris Paul's low blow and the despair over his winning shot, something else has happened to N.C. State's basketball team. The Wolfpack is playing well. It happened late but not too late. If the ACC Tournament were a horse race, the Pack would be an appealing dark horse, a team rounding nicely into form but with just enough bad luck to keep its profile down and its threat hidden.
