Penn Times: All-Star Game Notes
NC State signee John Bedics, a 6'6 250 pound defensive end from Bethlehem (Pa.) Catholic High School, has been selected to play in Saturday night's East-West All-Star Classic.
Bedics, who chose NC State over UCONN, West Virginia, and Boston College among others, will play defensive end and fullback for the East squad.
The game is played at Mansion Park Stadium in Altoona, Pennslyvania. Kick-off is set for 7:00 PM and the game will be televised on Pennsylvania Cable Network (PCN) beginning at 6:30 PM.
StateFans Evaluation of John Bedics: A sleeper prospect that not many gurus knew about, Bedics is definitely one to watch. He plays with passion and has a motor that doesn't stop running. He has a great frame and already looks the part of a college defensive end. Deceptive speed... much quicker then you would think and gets off blocks very well. Has good lateral movement, long arms, and quick feet. A versatile prospect who could help NC State at defensive end, tight end, defensive tackle, or even offensive tackle. Can he play defensive end for NC State? After seeing his film, I definitely think he can.
