AUDIO: Barber, Vandenberg Talk Pitt

RALEIGH, N.C. -- Cat Barber and Jordan Vandenberg met with the media in the Dail Center to discuss the upcoming game against Pittsburgh.

Cat Barber

"No matter who you play, they all are going to come and play hard."

"I know the ACC is going to be harder and more competitive."

"The nonconference games were great before the ACC so I can see how the college games feel."

"When I was little I used to always watch Duke... now that I'm going against them it's different."

"Now that I'm here it feels like it was just yesterday... I'm thankful and just play basketball."

"The rule has me... I know how to take charges and I know how to get in the right spot but I don't know what the calls were or how they change the rules."

"It's hard to adjust because you don't know when to touch or when not to touch."

"We have to rebound the ball and when we get it we have to run."

"Once we get out and run I think it's hard for other teams to get out and stop us because we're so fast."

Jordan Vandenberg

"It's fun to win."

"We're getting [an identity]. It's not there yet but hopefully it will come."

"Hopefully we can solidify what kind of a team we can be in conference play."

"We play well as a unit. There is a lot of energy out there."

"We're running, we're getting good plays. We have to keep that going through the second half."

"It's an energy issue... we haven't been focused for some reason. Hopefully we can sort that out."

"Definitely. He's a good player. He uses both hands well, and they look for him in the post. It's going to be a tough challenge for me to play defense on him, but we have a pretty good defensive scheme to take care of that."

"I'm taking it one game at a time. I can't predict how it's going to go."

"We have a pretty tough schedule but we have to take it one game at a time."

"I tell them to keep their heads together and not get frustrated at calls. It's a tough game."

"Don't be negative, don't be down. Bring your team up, bring energy."

"Work harder in practice. I don't know why we haven't been more consistent. It's a focus thing."

"You have to get out there and do what you do, play inside yourself."

"I'd give us a solid B. We dropped a couple of games early but we came together as a team. We weren't expected to do so well coming into it." Recommended Stories
