The Chanute Tribune: Schooley Signs With NC State
According to a report, NC State has signed Butler County CC offensive lineman Quinton Schooley, and he will play for the Wolfpack this fall.
The article indicates that Wolfpack offensive line coach Mike Uremovich evaluated Schooley this spring, and offered him a scholarship following an official visit.
"It was kind of out of the blue,” Schooley told the paper. “I didn’t really expect them to come in and make an offer this early. I expected most people to wait until I actually played at Butler.”
Several other schools were already recruiting Schooley, including: Memphis, Southern Illinois, Illinois, and Boise State.
He stated that he chose NC State because the Wolfpack wanted him to enroll right away and play this fall.
Schooley is expected to have four years left to play three seasons for the Wolfpack.
Schooley played three sports at Chanute (KS) High School prior to enrolling at Butler County.
Pack Pride will have more on Schooley in the near future so stay tuned!
