NC State junior point guard Lorenzo Brown has been selected by the Minnesota Timberwolves. Brown was picked No. 52 overall in the 2013 NBA Draft.

Brown, a 6-foot-5 junior guard from Roswell, Georgia, averaged 12.4 points, 7.2 assists, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.0 steals per game. He led the ACC in assists and steals, and Brown was named a second-team All-ACC selection by the media.

"I really like Lorenzo Brown," ESPN Analyst Jay Bilas said of Brown after the selection. "I think he's a first-round talent. Now, he's not a great shooter, but he's got size and he's a very good passer at the point guard position. He's really good in transition.

"If he improves his shot, which I think he can do, I think this is a great-value pick in the 50's in the second round. A first-round talent."

Brown was the only NC State player selected in the draft.
