RALEIGH, N.C. -- NC State head coach Dave Doeren fielded a couple of questions from the media following the Wolfpack's final practice of the spring. Dozens of former players were on hand for the practice.

"It was good. I'm just happy. I had my thumb on the weather button today and it actually listened. We got a lot done."

"Today was a good day. With all of the alumni here, to me it's really special when this many former players come back, from a different variety of their classes."

"In their 80s, all the way to guys who just finished here... guys who are still active in the NFL. It shows a lot about their life experience when they played here for them to want to be back for a day like this."

"It really means a lot to our players."

"It really doesn't matter if I'm ready [laughing]."

"We're excited to have the spring game and get out there in front of some fans. We look forward to seeing all the people. There are a lot of guys that want to see our kids play."

"Hopefully we do our best out there to get better. That's the main thing for us as coaches. We want it to be a practice where we can improve too."
