Senior Richard Howell grabbed three offensive rebounds and is now the program's all-time leader with 372, surpassing Kevin Thompson's 369. He now needs nine rebounds to
reach 1,000
total rebounds for his career.
In its victory over Georgia Tech, the Wolfpack recorded
its 10th win in ACC play for the
first time since the 2005- 06 season.
With 18
points,
Howell led the Wolfpack in scoring for the fifth time this season.
Since entering the starting lineup, T.J. Warren has scored in double figures in each of
those contests,
including 14
tonight against Georgia Tech.
Tyler Lewis’ 3-pointer with 10:52 on the clock was the Pack’s first of the night and
extended NC State’s
streak to 108 games with a 3-pointer.
Scott Wood was held without a 3-point field goal for the first time since Dec. 8 versus
Cleveland State and the first time in ACC play this season.
The starting lineup of Lorenzo Brown, Howell, C.J. Leslie, Warren and Wood is now 4-2
on the season and 3-1 since head coach Mark Gottfried went back to that starting five
beginning with the Florida State
game on Feb. 19.
With the win over Georgia Tech, NC State
has now won three season series’ against
ACC opponents. The other two are Boston College and Clemson.
