DeMatha (MD) four-star center BeeJay Anya will announce his college decision this evening at Stag Madness, The Opening practice for DeMatha Catholic.

The 6-foot-9, 255-pounder held offers from NC State, Indiana, UCLA, Pittsburgh, and Ohio State among others, and he is rated the No. 5 center in the class and the No. 45 player overall.

Anya officially visited NC State in late October after taking his first official visit to Indiana. What did he think of his trip to State?

"It was great," Anya said of the trip. "Me and my mom were there, and they showed us a great time. We got to meet all the academic advisers, and we met with the strength coach. He told us about what all I would work on there, and he showed me all the people he has worked out."

He also had a chance to talk with the coaches more in-depth about how he would fit in at NC State if he picked the Pack.

"We talked about how I would have the chance to play right away," said Anya. "C.J. Leslie and Richard Howell are leaving, and that would open up spots to play. I'm a hard worker, and I think I could go in there and get the job done. We also talked about how I would have good players around me... a lot of good scorers and guards."

Shortly after the visit he came home and stated that he would be announcing his decision on November 16th.

Stag Madness begins at 6:30 pm and as of right now we don't know exactly when Anya will go public with his choice, but be sure to follow his announcement on our premium basketball forum. Recommended Stories
