College GameDay Coming To Raleigh

Posted Aug 15, 2012

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Two Atlantic Coast Conference rivalry games will be featured as part of the ESPN “College GameDay” schedule during the 2012-2013 men’s basketball season.

The ACC and the Big East are the only two conferences that will have two games featured among the slate of nine Saturday contests, which opens Jan. 19 and runs through March 9.

ESPN will be in Raleigh, N.C., on Saturday, Jan. 26, for the battle between North Carolina and host NC State. It will mark the Wolfpack’s first-ever time as a “GameDay” basketball host.

UNC will be the home team on Saturday, March 9, when ESPN will travel to Chapel Hill, N.C., for the Tar Heels’ regular-season ending matchup with Duke.

ESPN NBA analyst Jalen Rose will step in as a full-time GameDay panelist for the upcoming season, joining veteran crew members Rece Davis, Jay Bilas and Digger Phelps.
