According to his father, Torrel Harris, NC State freshman forward Tyler Harris has decided to transfer to another school.
"Tyler Harris has decided to transfer from NC State University this spring for personal reasons," said Mr. Harris via text message. "He is extremely grateful for the opportunity he has been given by the coaching staff, administration, and fans.
"He looks forward to build on the experience he has gained during NC State's tremendous Sweet 16 run."
Harris, a 6-foot-9 power forward, averaged 2.1 points and 1.5 rebounds in 2011-2012.
He was expected to provide depth in 2012-2013 behind returning starters Richard Howell and C.J. Leslie. The move leaves NC State with two reserves up front in center Jordan Vandenberg and power forward Thomas de Thaey.
Pack Pride hopes to have more on Harris in the near future so stay tuned!
