Recruiting Scene: Sessoms was NC State's first commitment for the class of 2012 and it came before the LOI's had been signed for the class of 2011.

> NC State connected early with Sessoms and that allowed them to forge a solid lead for his commitment in the early stages of his recruiting.

Despite an offer from Virginia Tech, Sessoms decided to commit to the Wolfpack and stayed true to his pledge throughout his senior season.

Why NC State? "I told coach (Keith) Willis that I wanted to commit. He was real excited. I grew up liking State and they've always been in my heart. I went and visited Virginia Tech and I liked it, and when you see Virginia Tech you're like, 'Oh man,' but it just didn't feel right to me. I just like State. It's over. That's where I'm going to be."

Picked NC State Over: Virginia Tech

Scouting Report: "Sessoms has the size, range and activity around the football you look for in a college safety prospect. He needs to continue adding bulk and learn to play lower with improved flexibility but we really like the total package this guy brings to the table to develop at the college level. Has ideal height and length. Instinctive with a quick and reactive first step. Plays the game with a motor. Best asset may be his overall range on run and pass support. Shows he can cover a lot of ground and recover when caught out of position." -- ESPN
