UPDATE: Scout.com's 2012 Rankings

All three of NC State's Class of 2012 signees and a couple of the remaining targets are on Scout.com's updated list of top 100 prospects, which was released today. Wolfpack signee Tyler Lewis made a big jump in the rankings, as he now checks in at No. 45.

The Mouth of Wilson (VA) Oak Hill standout point guard had been ranked No. 58 in Scout's previous rankings, but his stellar play this season led to the rise.

PACK SIGNEES/TARGETS: Scout's 2012 Rankings
Recruit Status New Rank Prev. Rank
G Rodney Purvis Signee 17 15
F Amile Jefferson Target 21 19
F T.J. Warren Signee 25 21
F Ricardo Gathers Target 41 33
PG Tyler Lewis Signee 45 58

NC State's other two signees, Brewster Academy (NH) forward T.J. Warren and Raleigh (NC) Upper Room guard Rodney Purvis, also saw changes in their ranking. Purvis is No. 17 after being No. 15 last time around, and Warren is now rated No. 25 overall but was No. 21 in the previous update.

The two Top-25 prospects and Lewis give State three consensus Top-50 recruits in the 2012 class.

The Wolfpack remains involved with two other prospects, Friends' Central (PA) forward Amile Jefferson and Riverside Academy (LA) forward Ricardo Gathers, who are now ranked No. 21 and No. 41 respectively after being No. 19 and No. 33 in Scout's previous Top 100 update.

The two spring signees are still considering NC State. Jefferson continues to list the Wolfpack with Duke, Kentucky, and Villanova, while Gathers is looking at Baylor, NC State, LSU, Florida, St. John's, and Kentucky.

Finally, NC State is also recruiting junior college power forward Andrew Young and Canarias Basketball Academy center Boris Bojanovsky, but they were not included in the updated Class of 2012 rankings.

Young, a redshirt sophomore at Monterey Peninsula CC, holds dozens of offers from high-major programs all across the country, including NC State. Bojanovsky, a 7-foot-3 center, has received offers from NC State, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, and Mississippi State among others.
