The sophomore guard shot 63 percent (12-of-19) from the floor and 88 percent (14-of-16) from the free-throw line.
Following a six-day layoff for Christmas, Brown hit the court and recorded a career-high 24 points versus Campbell last Thursday. He was two rebounds and two assists shy of notching a triple-double on the evening. Brown scored 14 of his points at the line, setting career marks for free throws made (14) and free throws attempted (16). He also tied his career-mark for minutes played with 37. It's the second time this season that Brown has improved on his career mark for points, besting his previous mark of 21 set in a 82-67 victory over Elon on Nov. 25.
On both occasions, he set his career-high at Reynolds Coliseum, the former home of the Pack.
On Saturday, Brown helped NC State close out the year with an 82-55 win over Western Carolina at the RBC Center. In the victory, he had 14 points on 88 percent shooting (7-of-8) from the field. Brown also added eight assists and three rebounds in 28 minutes of play. In 13-of-14 games this season, Brown has led the Wolfpack in assists.
He currently ranks among the ACC leaders in steals (2.1 – 1st), assists (6.8 – 2nd), points (12.9 – 17th) and assist/turnover ratio (2.3 – 4th).
