It was a long process, but when it concluded five-star forward Amile Jefferson committed to Duke over the Wolfpack, Kentucky, and Villanova.

"It's a place where everyone would be happy about seeing me going," said Jefferson. "They value academics... right now I don't think they have a player at my position or a guy like me at Duke right now and I hope to bring an energy and a passion to the school and basketball team.

"Coach K brings an energy to his players that I want to bring back to him."

Jefferson, had narrowed his list to NC State, Kentucky, Duke, Villanova, and Ohio State.

Jefferson is rated the No. 3 power forward in the class and the No. 21 player overall.
