NC State Class of 2012 verbal commitments Tyler Lewis, Rodney Purvis, and T.J. Warren can make their pledges official today on the first day of the fall signing period, and all three are expected to fax in their paperwork to the Wolfpack.
Purvis, a senior at Raleigh (NC) Upper Room Christian Academy, will be signing at his high school. He is rated the No. 15 player overall in the 2012 class, and the five-star recruit is regarded as the No. 5 shooting guard in the country. Purvis committed to NC State in September after also considering UCONN, Memphis, Missouri, and Ohio State.
Warren is suiting up as a senior for Brewster Academy (NH), and he will be signing this morning at Brewster. The nation's No. 5 small forward prospect, Warren is also a five-star recruit and the No. 22 player in his class. He picked the Wolfpack earlier this month after narrowing his list down to NC State, Georgetown, North Carolina, and Florida.
Lewis, a four-star point guard who is playing his senior season at Mouth of Wilson (VA) Oak Hill Academy, is expected to sign around 4 pm following practice. A four-star prospect, Lewis is rated the No. 8 point guard in the country by Scout.com. He's considered the nation's No. 61 player overall. Lewis committed to NC State in October of 2010 with offers also on the table from programs such as Virginia Tech, Charlotte, Wake Forest, Miami, Richmond, and Mississippi.
Obviously, all three recruits are included in Scout.com's Top 100 rankings, and they give NC State a consensus Top-5 recruiting class nationally. All three players are projected to qualify and are expected to contribute as freshmen.
Also, a huge target remains on the board in Wynnewood (PA) Friends' Central forward Amile Jefferson. The 6-foot-9, five-star standout visited NC State this past weekend and is close to making a decision. He is expected to decide this fall, and he is considering... NC State, Kentucky, UCONN, Villanova, Temple, Ohio State, and Stanford. Jefferson is rated the No. 4 power forward in the class and the No. 20 player overall.
Jefferson has narrowed his list to NC State, Villanova, Temple, Stanford, Kentucky, Ohio State, and UCONN. He will visit Stanford this weekend before making a decision.
Top 60 wing Andrew White is also still considering NC State, but it is unclear if White will decide in the fall signing period.

Finally, once all of the commitments become official and the paperwork has been received by NC State, the Wolfpack coaching staff is expected to send out a release to formally announce the latest additions.
