NOTEBOOK: Four Scores For Glennon

NC State was efficient passing the football in Saturday's win over South Alabama, as starting quarterback Mike Glennon tossed four touchdown passes against the Jaguars.

Graham Crosses Century Mark Receiving
T.J. Graham finished the night with five catches for 128 yards and a score, marking his second consecutive game with over 100 yards receiving. The last Wolfpack receiver to collect over 100 yards receiving in back-to-back games was Jerricho Cotchery in 2003.

Four Scores For Glennon
Mike Glennon tossed four scores on the night - a personal best. His 67-yard strike to T.J. Graham in the fourth quarter is the longest touchdown pass of his career, as well as the longest touchdown catch for Graham.

Glennon's four touchdown passes is the most by a Wolfpack quarterback since Russell Wilson threw four last year in the season opener against Western Carolina.

Glennon finished the night 17-of-20 for 274 yards.

Gentry Hits Paydirt
Senior fullback Taylor Gentry pulled in two touchdown receptions in tonight's win, the first multiple TD game of his career.

Gentry had three touchdown grabs heading into the 2011 campaign and now has five for his career.

This marked the first time since the 2010 season opener against Western Carolina that a Pack player had two TD receptions in one game. T.J. Graham pulled in two in that win.

Pack Gets Picks
Sophomore cornerback David Amerson picked off his third pass in as many games in the second quarter tonight. Amerson leads the ACC in interceptions so far this season. Junior safety Brandan Bishop had another pickoff in the third quarter, giving the team seven for the season.

NC State was tied for second nationally in interceptions with five heading into tonight's game.

Third Defensive Starter Goes Out
NC State lost another defensive starter in the first half of tonight's game, as weakside linebacker Terrell Manning left the game in the second quarter with a knee injury and did not return.

Manning joined starting defensive tackle J.R. Sweezy and defensive end Jeff Rieskamp in the injured ranks, although his status is unknown following tonight.

Backup defensive tackle Thomas Teal is also missing time with a football injury.

Pack Deals South Alabama First Loss
Tonight marked the first loss in the brief history of the South Alabama football program. The Jaguars entered tonight's game with a 19-0 record.
