NC State released an updated injury report today for the season opener against Liberty, and the biggest news was senior linebacker Sterling Lucas being sidelined for the year with a knee injury.
Lucas was listed as the backup at middle linebacker but Ryan Cheek is now the top reserve. A true senior, Lewis is eligible to redshirt this season.
