Gordon Getting Hits From Bigs

Posted Apr 23, 2003

Junior point guard Alex Gordon is hanging with some pretty good programs. The Tallahassee Wildcats guard is hearing from Alabama, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, North Carolina State, Florida State and Stanford.

"Right now I’m just seeing how many colleges and which ones are interested," Gordon said. "Vanderbilt and Indiana are coming in this week."

Gordon says that it’s too tough to figure out what’s going on right now but he’d like to reach a decision by the end of the summer. He’s got a 3.4 GPA and passing score on the ACT.

He played last weekend with the Tallahassee Wildcats at the adidas Texas Classic. The Wildcats reached the quarterfinals of the event before falling to the Richmond Squires. (See Gordon’s shot chart below).

He might end up back in Houston this weekend and is thinking about playing with Polk County in the event.
